stock market timing (using the Daily Stock Barometer)
The key to trading qqq option on any index or stock is stock market timing.
There are hundreds of different ways to time the market. Our advisory shares over 160 of these indicators with our clients. Here’s a list of some of them:
One consideration with all my indicators is that I try to adust the scale so that they move with the market. This will give you a better understanding of the relative correlation or lack thereof.
After correlation, the next consideration is level and direction. If you have high correlation, and the indicator is moving up, then the market is likely to move higher. If you have a buy signal (turn higher) coming off a relatively low level, then you could be on the verge of a significant move higher.
QQQ –QQQ Buy/Sell Spread Momentum Chart
The spread/momentum indicators assist in your trading of the QQQ (Nasdaq 100), GLD (Gold), US Dollar, USO (Oil) and TLT (20 year bonds). They are tuned to deliver short and intermediate term buy and sell signals. The level, direction, and position to the zero line are keys in interpreting these indicators. For example, direction determines mode and a buy signal ‘above zero’ is more bullish than a buy signal ‘below zero’.
